Welcome to our Mississippi Healthcare Financial Management Association website.
The healthcare industry is in a constant state of flux, and we hope this website and the links to various other healthcare websites helps keep our members and other visitors to our website current on regulatory, statutory and other healthcare issues. Bob Broadway, HFMA’s 2008-2009 National Chairman, has chosen “Making Connections” as his theme. We certainly hope that your membership in HFMA has provided you with the networking opportunities to “Make Connections.” If you have recently joined HFMA, please become involved in one of our numerous committees to help shape the future of the chapter’s educational events, networking events, and various other activities. The more involved you become, the more your membership is valued. Please use the links to the chapter’s leadership roster to contact any member of the leadership team to become involved.
Our next meeting will be held August 14 and 15 in Philadelphia, MS at the Golden Moon Resort. On December 3-5, the Mississippi Chapter will join the other chapters in Region 9 to present the Region 9 Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Sheraton on Canal Street. This year, Fred Lee will be presenting on Friday. For those of you who have not heard one of his presentations, he is excellent on the topic of patient loyalty and improving patient satisfaction scores. In January, 2009, the Tri-State Conference will take place in Tunica, Mississippi where we will be joined by the Arkansas and Tennessee chapters. Finally, in April, 2009, we will host the Annual Institute in Biloxi, Mississippi at the IP Casino Resort and Spa where we will install officers for the 2009-2010 fiscal year. Please take advantage of these educational opportunities at a very reasonable cost.
As we sponsor these various educational events, it is only possible to hold them at a very reasonable cost because of our Corporate Sponsors. Their support allows us to provide our members with excellent speakers, networking events, and various other items that would not be possible without them.
